Dear Reme Lynn,
From the end of October to the mid of December we have accomplished a lot! You have also changed a lot. You are bigger, smarter, funnier, cuter, sassier, sweeter, brattier and better than ever! Seriously, all of those things. It's so amazing to be able to have a complete conversations with you. You remember details of our adventures and talks. You reciprocate love and emotion. You have a great memory and a very solid vocabulary. You have backtracked a tad and have become dependent on your pacifier more than we would like but we are preparing you for saying goodbye to it on your third birthday.
We traveled to Texas to celebrate the life of your great grandfather Bill Morris. He was my grandfather (granddad) and he was the kindest, most loving and simple man you had ever met. He adored you and in our last conversations asked about you often.
The cousins...minus Meredith
You continue to travel very well. You are very adaptable and rarely give us any grief. As long as your fed and entertained (I love and hate that phone/youtube at the same time).
As soon as we got back it was time for me to open my play, August: Osage County. This was a big deal for me and that first week back I was out every single night. Your dad...don't get me started...he is a rock star! You guys had fun and really got to spend a lot of quality time together and got to know each other very well. I'd actually get jealous that you two were having so much fun but of course I knew that it was so wonderful for you both. Thank you both so much for allowing me to do this show and being so supportive!
Notice the heels! This is playing grocery store!
Lots of trips to the shops and the zoo!
We did manage to have a little girl time too!
A tea party with our Bambini Friends (Avery, Hazel & Kaelyn)
Pancakes
Ice Cream (even though it was freezing outside)
And pedicures! Cinderella blue this time thank goodness!
It was a hard decision but after discussing it for a very long time we decided to sell our home and try to move to a nice community where there will be lots of kids and places for you to play! That meant a TON of hard work to get everything ready! We packed up half our belongings and put them in storage. We cleaned, we repaired, we painted and YOU little lady were as cool as a cucumber during the entire process! A joy in fact! I was a bit worried that the change would freak you out but nope, not by girl, you were so very helpful and supportive! AND it paid off! We sold our home in just under 44 hours! (Now on to the real task of finding our new home - and of course surviving the inspection)To do all of this hard work we decided to stay home for Thanksgiving and work instead of travel. We did manage to have a bit of fun along the way!
We took you to see The Good Dinosaur on Thanksgiving day followed by a lovely dinner at Ellendale's
This was week 41, we continued to work and decided to have a little dinner on Friday night!
Saturday morning pancakes!
Squeezing in some celebrations along the way!
Happy first birthday to sweet Kepler!
The next day you went to your first Christmas parade with your first taste of hot chocolate followed by your first gingerbread house making fun!
The look on your face was priceless when you tasted the cocoa! Your eyes got HUGE and you were one happy gal!
You kept yelling, "Merry Chwistmas"! Oh that voice! The sweetest sound I ever did hear!
All of you kids gave up making the houses after about 5 minutes and left the rest of the work to the mommas, which none of us minded!
The Princess Gingerbread House
I love the arm thing that you've decided was going to be your signature photo move! Keep it up! All of the kids decided to scream (pretty much the entire time) but the emotion and sound escalated quickly during this picture! Again...priceless!
On Friday 12/11/15; we made a (what has become a rather Friday night routine) stop to Target on our way home from school.
You noticed a box of Princess band aids and HAD to have them! I was fine with that, they were cute and not expensive and sure, we could use some band aids. Well you decided you wanted to open them right then. I told you we'd have to wait until we paid for them and I kid you not, in the best acting performance you've had to date (sort of) you said..."Oh, but I hurt my leg." HOW is it possible that at only TWO years old you knew to say that??!! AND with emotion and feelings! Actually holding on to your leg too! Well...you had me there. I was done. "Go for it!", I said. How could I not have said that?!? You deserved it!
Later that night we (YOU) proceeded to put ALL of them on either yourself, me or daddy! It was great fun! I wouldn't trade it for the world!
So there you go kiddo! FIVE weeks in one letter! I'll try to be more consistent in the future but who are we kidding, this isn't a competition....this is US! This is our life and I just know someday we will look back on it and be thankful for each and every post! I know I am thankful for each and every moment. You truly take my breath away!
I love you....always and forever,
Mommy
