Week 37 thru Week 42 Year 2

Okay...I'm not gonna lie...this past month has been super mega busy and while we have had a ton of fun, worked hard, stayed busy, traveled, finished a play, packed our house, staged our home and then sold it...I have not had a solid chance to sit down and write. I don't want to stop writing these letters and I will do so as long as I can but this month will just have to be a synopsis. It has been a whirlwind and so shall this letter.

Dear Reme Lynn,
From the end of October to the mid of December we have accomplished a lot! You have also changed a lot. You are bigger, smarter, funnier, cuter, sassier, sweeter, brattier and better than ever! Seriously, all of those things. It's so amazing to be able to have a complete conversations with you. You remember details of our adventures and talks. You reciprocate love and emotion. You have a great memory and a very solid vocabulary. You have backtracked a tad and have become dependent on your pacifier more than we would like but we are preparing you for saying goodbye to it on your third birthday.

We traveled to Texas to celebrate the life of your great grandfather Bill Morris. He was my grandfather (granddad) and he was the kindest, most loving and simple man you had ever met. He adored you and in our last conversations asked about you often.

The cousins...minus Meredith
You continue to travel very well. You are very adaptable and rarely give us any grief. As long as your fed and entertained (I love and hate that phone/youtube at the same time).

As soon as we got back it was time for me to open my play, August: Osage County. This was a big deal for me and that first week back I was out every single night. Your dad...don't get me started...he is a rock star! You guys had fun and really got to spend a lot of quality time together and got to know each other very well. I'd actually get jealous that you two were having so much fun but of course I knew that it was so wonderful for you both. Thank you both so much for allowing me to do this show and being so supportive!

Notice the heels! This is playing grocery store!

Lots of trips to the shops and the zoo!

We did manage to have a little girl time too!

A tea party with our Bambini Friends (Avery, Hazel & Kaelyn)
 Pancakes
Ice Cream (even though it was freezing outside)
And pedicures! Cinderella blue this time thank goodness!
It was a hard decision but after discussing it for a very long time we decided to sell our home and try to move to a nice community where there will be lots of kids and places for you to play! That meant a TON of hard work to get everything ready! We packed up half our belongings and put them in storage. We cleaned, we repaired, we painted and YOU little lady were as cool as a cucumber during the entire process! A joy in fact! I was a bit worried that the change would freak you out but nope, not by girl, you were so very helpful and supportive! AND it paid off! We sold our home in just under 44 hours! (Now on to the real task of finding our new home - and of course surviving the inspection)

To do all of this hard work we decided to stay home for Thanksgiving and work instead of travel. We did manage to have a bit of fun along the way!

We took you to see The Good Dinosaur on Thanksgiving day followed by a lovely dinner at Ellendale's

This was week 41, we continued to work and decided to have a little dinner on Friday night!

Saturday morning pancakes!
Squeezing in some celebrations along the way!

Happy first birthday to sweet Kepler!

The next day you went to your first Christmas parade with your first taste of hot chocolate followed by your first gingerbread house making fun!
The look on your face was priceless when you tasted the cocoa! Your eyes got HUGE and you were one happy gal!

You kept yelling, "Merry Chwistmas"! Oh that voice! The sweetest sound I ever did hear!

All of you kids gave up making the houses after about 5 minutes and left the rest of the work to the mommas, which none of us minded!

 The Princess Gingerbread House
I love the arm thing that you've decided was going to be your signature photo move! Keep it up!

All of the kids decided to scream (pretty much the entire time) but the emotion and sound escalated quickly during this picture! Again...priceless!

On Friday 12/11/15; we made a (what has become a rather Friday night routine) stop to Target on our way home from school.

You noticed a box of Princess band aids and HAD to have them! I was fine with that, they were cute and not expensive and sure, we could use some band aids. Well you decided you wanted to open them right then. I told you we'd have to wait until we paid for them and I kid you not, in the best acting performance you've had to date (sort of) you said..."Oh, but I hurt my leg." HOW is it possible that at only TWO years old you knew to say that??!! AND with emotion and feelings! Actually holding on to your leg too! Well...you had me there. I was done. "Go for it!", I said. How could I not have said that?!? You deserved it!

Later that night we (YOU) proceeded to put ALL of them on either yourself, me or daddy! It was great fun! I wouldn't trade it for the world!

So there you go kiddo! FIVE weeks in one letter! I'll try to be more consistent in the future but who are we kidding, this isn't a competition....this is US! This is our life and I just know someday we will look back on it and be thankful for each and every post! I know I am thankful for each and every moment. You truly take my breath away!

I love you....always and forever,
Mommy

Week 36 Year 2

Oh my heart,

Seems like my letter writing has started to take a bi-monthly trend. I may keep it that way for a bit. Just spontaneous maybe. We have been incredibly busy! Work, school, life, travel and the play of course! You have been wonderfully patient!

Your Gmomma sent you some sparkly shoes!
And some heels! Fancy! It is so funny to watch you walk around in them!

Your Mimi sent you some Halloween goodies too!

Your grandparents love you so much and spoil you exactly enough! We are so lucky to have them!

Your school celebrated Grandparents' Day on October 23rd. The preschool group performed two songs! One of them was In the Lord's Army and you were supposed to wear something camouflage. Well I knew you weren't going to want to do that so I got you some camo leg warmers. You wore them for a split second and then you weren't having it. So I decided to just put them in your backpack. Oddly, as we were just about to walk out the door you said, "I need a bow"! "The green one!", so I obliged.

Your daddy took off that morning and I took off that afternoon so we could come watch your performance and then you and I were off to a mommy/daughter date! You did SO good! We were SO impressed! AND you wore the leg warmers!! I was so excited! You looked adorable

Your teacher was pointing your parents to some of your classmates

And you wanted to know where your parents were!
You kept asking over and over "Where are my mommy & daddy?"
There were so many people there you couldn't see us. Plus we didn't know if you would actually go through the songs if you say us!

That's your buddy Bryn! I totally intend on showing this photo at your wedding shower!

See how you're still looking for us!

When we finally got back stage to get you, you were visibly upset. I don't think you thought we were there! You were so relieved to see us! It was such a special moment! We will always be there baby, whenever we can!

After the celebration, you and I headed off to meet our friends Lindsey and Hazel for a little lunch and pedicures! I let you pick the color and you chose the ugliest green I've ever seen! But we got our toes that color anyway!

Your eye is crossing more and more! It's really hard to get you to wear your glasses but we are going to be better about it!

Afterwards we went book shopping for a ghost book. You had to have one! Followed by a quick trip to the "shops", a train ride and then we went to see a play at Street Theatre. It was an original play called "The Last Queen of Wonderland" and it was a steam-punk version and the set was a little dark and the music was a little spooky and you were not happy. You were determined to get out of there but I convinced you to at least wait until the show started and if you still wanted to go then we would. But just as I suspected once the show started you were all about it. There wasn't any dancing or music but the costumes were neat. We made it all the way through he first half. Then it was late and we headed home!

A quick nap in between shopping spots!

Riding the train is always a MUST!

The cast of The Last Queen of Wonderland

The March Hair

The next morning you slept until 10:30am! TEN THIRTY!! I could hardly wait for you to wake up! I was so ready to play! We had bought some Jasmine Legos the night before and you so wanted to open then that night and I promised we would when you woke up! AND sure enough, the first words out of your mouth (at 10:30am) was Jasmine Legos?!? We didn't waste any time at all! Lego time it was!

Fun! So many pieces!
 Practicing the walk in heels!

Tada!

It was one of the best days ever! We just hung around in our PJs all day, snacked, watched Inside Out and then we went to visit CC for a little bit! She just had surgery! (Thyroid/Schmyroid)

You might not be able to tell but you two were having the sweetest moment here!

Finally when daddy came home, we got all dressed up and went to Boo at the Zoo! You got your first taste of trick or treating and you DANCED the night away! We couldn't tear you from the dance floor! The Monster Mash! I was loving it! We all were!

For the longest time you said you wanted to be an Ocopus! Ursula! And Stella would be Ariel and I was going to be Flounder and daddy would be Sebastian. Well, just as I thought was going to happen, you opted for Ariel instead! Glad I got both costumes!

Princess pose!

You agreed to wear the wig for one picture and one picture only!

Break Dancing!

Oh how I love that you love to dance! It's one of my all time favorite things to do!

Sunday we celebrated Averie Grace's 7th birthday at Glow Galaxy! It took you a while to get comfortable but once you did we had a blast on the slides and bounce houses!

You refused to get in the group picture! You're my solo gal I suppose!

Later that night I had rehearsal so you and your daddy had a camp out!

A Bob Fossee move...at it's best! You were doing the "Step in Time" routine!

You better believe dance lessons are in our VERY near future!

I love you so much,
Mommy
