18 Weeks

Hello Sweet Girl,

You had your four month check up this week and I'm happy to report that you're doing well! You now weigh 14lbs 4.8 ounces and you are 24 inches tall! Your head is still a little small but the doctor is not worried about a thing. She couldn't even hear your heart murmur and that is wonderful news! You have a few spots of eczema on your leg, back and chest but we'll be able to get rid of that in no time. It's most likely the cause of your body wash or the sunscreen that I wasn't supposed to put on you but did because I'd rather do that than you get sunburned BUT I'm not going to do either in the future until you are six months old. Thank goodness that happens just in time for our beach trip to OBX. I've done a lot of research the past few days on baby skin care and body products and have been quite shocked by what I have found. It's just plain scary what manufacturers are putting into their products! I'll be more careful in the future! I wish I had looked into some things sooner but there's not much I can do now!

Since Thursday was your "birthday" we decided to head to Babies R Us and expand your every growing living room toy inventory and get you a "jumper chair"! You're not too sure what to think about it just yet. You like it but in small doses at the time! Your momma sure does love that place!! It's so fun!

We had a delightful weekend! We went to Alli's baby "sprinkle" on Saturday at Arrington Vineyards. It was the most lovely day! You slept in your stroller for the first hour or so while I was able to chat with the girls and have lunch and you woke up just in the nick of time to watch her open presents. We sat on a bench swing in the warm breeze just enjoying the laughter, oo's and aah's and the scenery. I could have sat there with you all day!

Sunday we went to Auntie CC's again to play by the pool! Again it was just a gorgeous day! Very relaxing. We just hung out and chatted and chilled, those are some of my favorite times!

We also started a Kindermusik class! It is so much fun! I wasn't too sure how you would react to it but you seemed to love it! I had just picked you up from school and had to wake you up from your nap and it was time for you to eat so I thought for sure you'd be grumpy but instead you were in awe of the other children! I could tell that you so wanted to stand up and run and play! In due time my love, you'll get there. You are by far the youngest in the class! I'm really excited about this class. It's just a fun way for us to spend some time together and Mollie-Jaime and our friends Mindy & Ellie Mae are taking the class too! We were too busy to take any pictures!

I'm just in total amazement on how quickly you have grown! Each day you seem like a different child. I hope you're enjoying yourself and feel loved because baby cakes your are so very loved! Loved to the Super Moon and beyond!

Big giant hugs & kisses,
Mama

Reme Lynn,
You rolled over! You rolled over!!!! What an exciting event! Unfortunately I missed it in person the first time you did it but your daddy was there! I was at a play and he sent me a video text. Lucky for me you liked doing it and did it over and over the next day! We called your grandpas to show them your new trick. We said it was your father's day present to them and what better present than that!?
I think your daddy had a very nice father's day this weekend. We told him he could do anything he wanted to do and do you know what he did? Your laundry! Yep! That's the kind of dad you have my precious girl. The most selfless and loving daddy ever! He is so good to us! You spent a lot to time with him this week and really started to warm up to him too. Snuggling, cooing and rolling over!

It was your puppy sister Stella's birthday on Thursday and we did our annual celebration of talking her for a walk in the park and a trip to Petco where she gets to pick out a toy and treats! We had a blast! She's a good sister and you love her!

Well it was bound to happen sooner or later but you experienced your first day care injury. You were playing on a mat with your friends and one of them accidentally scratched your face. Apparently you didn't fuss too much about it, I'm pretty sure it looks worse than it feels!

Your other eye is starting to ooze some puss now too which I'm sure is unrelated. The doctor said it is most likely allergies. We'll just keep a close "eye" on it! Ha! No pun intended!

We've been considering moving you to your bedroom now. I'm so used to you sleeping next to your bed that the thought of having you all the way across the house is daunting for me but it's getting close to that time. I'm gonna miss reaching over every few hours of the night to check on you. I just love having you near!

You're getting more jealous in the bath now too! You're really getting into kicking and splashing the water

Big giant hugs to you my princess!
Love you,
Mommy

16 Weeks

Hello My Sweet Girl,
What a great week we've had! It has been go go go too! We're all a little worn out!
On Friday I had a meeting after work so I decided to come get you early and bring you to the office. Fridays are a little more relaxed and a lot of times it's cool if we bring our dogs in so I thought hey, why not!?
You visited with everyone and then got tired so I sat you on my desk and boom, you were out! That's the world's cutest paperweight right there!

Saturday we attended to wedding of our good friends Lauren & Mitch. I was a little nervous because it was a Catholic wedding in a very old and beautiful church and not the most conducive location for a crying baby. You were an angel throughout the entire ceremony! You didn't make a peep! I was so very proud of you! Then off to the reception we went where you proceeded to sleep while we ate (thanks for that) and then woke up just in time to visit a little bit and send them off with bubbles! Congratulations to them both! We are so happy to see them so happy!

And we didn't stop there! After that we went to Averie's dance recital, again a little nervous because I wasn't sure how loud it would be, how you would handle the cheering and clapping, if you'd sit still long enough to watch A's dances and well once again you were an angel! It was so precious to see you so captivated by the stage! You couldn't take your eyes off of it until you decided to take a quick little cat nap! Congratulations Averie! We are so impressed by your fine dancing skills! We can't wait to see many more of your performances!

Now Sunday was a completely different story. You were worn out but decided to fight your naps all day long! We had plans to go to Ms. Cheryl's house to go swimming for CC's birthday and our early plans were rained out but once the clouds broke and the sun came out, off we went. At first you were having fun but for some reason the laughing and cackles while we played "Headbandz" did not amuse you! (Stupid Ronald McDonald!) The water was too cold to brave just yet.We bailed on the next part of the party to get you home and in bed! You fought me but I finally prevailed and off to a good's night rests you went! I didn't even get a chance to take a photo!

Monday after school I dragged you to the grocery store and I thought for sure you were going to let me have it but you (once again) just chilled out and went with the flow!! Thank you my love!

Daddy watched you on Tuesday night because I had another meeting and you two had a blast together while I was away! It warms my heart to see you two together and having fun!

Then today was the very first day you've actually gotten in the pool all the way and did some swimming! Oh my little fishy you are going to be a water baby for sure! You just had a blast floating around in your little raft! Averie and Ian came along and you loved watching them play! I promise many more night in the cool water taking refuge from the hot nights!

Oh those Summer Nights! How your daddy and I love them so! It's our favorite time of the year!

Love, love, love you!

15 Weeks

Sweet Reme Lynn,
So you are doing the COOLEST  thing this week, "talking" and I mean A LOT! You will "talk" for an hour straight! I love, love, love, love this! It pretty much started when I picked you up from day care on Friday. You now go to Una Baptist Child Care Center and we love it! You have many teachers that play with you throughout the day. You have your own crib, which you hardly sleep in but will on occasion. Lots and lots of toys, mats, chairs and swings. There are three other babies in the room close to your age, Daniel, Peyton & Bryn. Well on Friday I was walking down the hall & I could hear you screech! When I opened the door, I saw you on a play mat next to Daniel, just talking and laughing and screeching. It was the most adorable thing! You had a lot to say and you were very excited to say it! I sat and listened to you for a good three or four minutes. Daniel did not seem so impressed but more tolerant than anything. Your teacher Mrs. Catherine was changing Peyton at the time and said you had been doing that for a while. Then when she put Peyton down you went crazy! You grabbed at your shirt and rubbed her arm and "talked" and "talked" and "talked"! It brought tears to my eyes! It was just so very precious!

We had plans to meet up with Jaime & Mollie at Wave Country. Your first encounter with a swimming pool! We got you covered with lotion and dressed up and hit the water and WHOA it was cold! You weren't real happy about it at first but got used to it. Then the waves started coming. I had you on my shoulder walking around and not five minutes later you were out like a light! The soothing sounds of the ocean must have done it! We've got more water adventures coming up with weekend and I can't wait! It's been a too long since we've spent time with the gang!

When we got home later that day, you were one big chatter box! I have a ton of video to show around! It is the most adorable sound! I love you baby girl! You'll be saying real words in no time!

The next day we decided to become Nashville Zoo members and took you to the zoo! We had a blast! Met up with the Adventure Duo Mollie Jaime and started exploring! You were in awe of the place! Just really taking it all in! I was so impressed! We'll be back there and often for sure1

We've been out for several walks at the park this week too! Sometimes you like your stroller, sometimes you like to be held and most recently you were digging your Baby Bjorn! You gave me quite the workout adding fourteen extra pounds!

Your current developments are just so fascinating! You sleep a solid nine hours straight at night, you suck your lips, you study your hands, you love to play with your orange monkey, you still hate your car seat, you are unbelievably observant, you just hang out and take it all in, you're "talking", your blowing spit bubbles, you arch your back and straighten those legs and are preparing to rollover any day now too! I'm in awe of you my love!

All my loving,
Mommy
