5 Weeks

Hello My Love,

35 days! 5 weeks! It has been a good week. The days are getting longer so for me it feels like the week has been longer which is a very very good thing!

We have been going a tad bit stir crazy in the house though. It's just ridiculously cold outside and it's almost April! This is really unusual for this time of year and it's driving me crazy! We are managing to have a good time in the house though. We have lots and lots of snuggle time! It's oh so very special! I love your sweet face! I love to sit and watch your different expressions while you sleep and sometimes we just hang out and stare at each other.

We spend quite a bit of time on your play mat, listening to fun songs, dancing and singing. Right now your favorite songs seems to be Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (thanks to your Gmama) and Hound Dog.

I've been contemplating getting you on a schedule and right now we are all over the place. You are sleeping at night much much better though. You only wake up once at night to eat and most nights go right back to sleep. You like to take a long morning nap and fight an afternoon nap with everything you've got! You certainly aren't a big fan of sleeping in your crib for your afternoon nap this week in particular. You're favorite place to sleep in on my chest!

You have really enjoyed taking a bath this week too!

We've been playing dress up too! Most of your clothes are still way too big for you (which is why you're wearing the same thing in most pictures) but we've been trying an outfit or two here and there!

I love you sweet angel,
Mommy

4 Weeks or One Month

Dear Reme Lynn,
Happy first month in this world my heart! It really is so hard to believe it's been one entire month, 4 weeks, 28 days. It has gone by like a wink of an eye. You are growing so quickly! It seems like each day you are different. In personality, sleep patterns, eating patterns, eye focusing, noises, kicks, hand movements and your head control. It is getting stronger and stronger. I'm so proud of you, you amaze me!
We have had a really great week this week! Your cousins Savannah & Cooper came to visit for their spring break with your Great Aunt Chrisit and Uncle Kent. I think they had a nice time. The weather was a bit cold so it was hard to get out and do things.

They got lots of snuggle time and you loved every minute of the attention!

We did manage to go to The Loveless Cafe for brunch one day though! Yummy! You're still not a big fan of the car seat to put it mildly. I wish I knew what ailed you so when you're in there. I would fix it in a heart beat!

Speaking of heart beats, you saw your cardiologist Dr. Hermo to check the status of your VSD (you have a small hole in your heart, it is very common) and we're happy to say that the hole is half the size as it was in the hospital!! You don't have to go back for another 6 months! I am sure that it will be completely gone then!

You went to your first birthday party for Miss Mollie and did very well. You were a little fussy but only when it was time for you to eat and of course time to get into the car seat! It was your first St. Patrick's Day!

We also experienced our first walk in the park with just you, me & Stella! It was lovely and I look forward to many many more! We'll be joining CC & HT on walks in the park soon too! (Please start liking your car seat!)

You were able to meet the gang at Whitehardt this week! You were an angel the entire time as they passed you from one person to the next! You're such a sweetie!

This has been by far the most amazing month of my life. It has been just a complete joy getting to know you! The little things you do, the meanings behind your cries, the spirit in your eyes!
I love you so much,
Mommy

3 Weeks

Hey baby girl,
21 days of pure bliss! Okay, so not everyday has been pure bliss but most of them. You are doing so well! You have gained 10 ounces over the past week and you are officially 3oz over your birth weight! This makes all of us very happy! Dr. Ros thinks you look great! She did have to remove your umbilical cord. It was just hanging on by a thread. You took it like a champ! You took that better than you did getting into your car seat! Whoa buddy you sure do throw a fit when we put you in it! However, today you were much better so maybe you're just getting used to it! I hope you do because we plan to do a lot of traveling and you'll be in there quite a bit!
The three of us made our first outing this week! We went to the Opry Mills Mall and had dinner at Macaroni Grill. You did great. (of course after we put you in the car seat). You slept the whole time! Not even made a peep!

We needed to get you a few outfits that actually fit you! You have a TON of clothes but not a lot for your tiny body at the moment but you're getting bigger!

We also went on a nice walk at the park on Saturday. It's still a bit chilly outside but we had one very nice day. I am SO ready for some nicer weather so we can get you outside and into some vitamin D!

I'm so glad that you like your room! You seem to be very happy in there. It's a great room and we are so pleased with the way it turned out.

Your Auntie Brooke (Brooke Kelly Photography) took these great pictures!

You sleep well at night about every other night. I think most of the time it has everything to do with your tummy and what I ate that day. It's exhausting but well worth it.

People tell you all the time about how becoming a parent will change your life and how time will go by so fast but there is nothing in this world that can prepare you for it. I never thought I would/could feel this way. I'm so full of emotion, it's truly overwhelming, it's impossible to put into words. As for time flying well forget about it! It seems like just yesterday they put you in my arms and now you have already changed so much.

You have a strong spirit. You are already holding your head so well. You love to lay on your mat and stare at our eyes, or at your butterfly or just off into space. I can tell that you're already able to focus on some things also. You even reached for a toy today! Well you sort of punched it! One of my favorite things is the noises you make when you eat! They are adorable! I have them videotaped and will try to get them uploaded soon!

I love you sweetheart,
Mommy

2 Weeks

To my sweet child Reme Lynn,

What a wonderful week this has been getting to know you, for us getting to know each other. We had a ton of visitors the first week of your life and we certainly appreciate and love them all but this week it has been just us and it has been so nice being a family of three! This is your daddy's last week off so we wanted to take advantage of this time while we had it. Time is so very precious now, more so than it ever has been. Each day you change just a little and we don't want to miss a thing!

I am madly in love with your sweet smell and I can't stop kissing all of your little crevices.I have some favorites too!
When you wake from a nap and stretch while I hold you, I love to kiss the your neck!

I can't seem to get enough of that sweet little tummy!

Your skin is so soft and so sweet! I study every fold!

I love those beautiful eyes! They are filled with wonderment and love!

Don't even get me started on those feet! Each toe is more delicious than the next!

I am mesmerized my your precious little face! I love the funny little faces that you make!

I think my most favorite part of your body is your birthmark! I can't explain it but I loved your birthmark from the second I saw it! Your daddy has one just like it by the way! (Maybe that's why!)

We are starting to get into our groove a bit and as predicted you are a night person! My little party girl is what I like to call you! Thank goodness your daddy takes the party shift! I feed you and daddy stays up with you while I nap! You're starting to sleep a good two to three hours at a time though. It usually depends on the night, how your day went and what I've had to eat! So far I know that onions, raw tomatoes and spicy food does not agree with you. We're learning!

You're sensitive that's for sure and we getting used to your different cries. When we change your diaper or you're just sort of unhappy, you make the cutest cry. You go, "A-nah, A-nah, A-nah!" When you're hungry, you really belt one out and when you're really upset, like if something hurts you or you're overly tired or we're putting you in your car seat...whoa buddy...cover your ears! That one hurts my heart! I so do not like to hear you so upset. On the flip side of that you make the most adorable chirping noise when you're sleeping.

You certainly entertain us with your poops! You grunt and grown and they are loud! it's hilarious! It also never fails that once we get that diaper off you poop some more! Your daddy and I laugh and laugh!

We gave you your fourth bath tonight and you didn't make a peep! You really seemed to enjoy it! I think it just took us this long to get the system down. Warmth is the key!

It's been too cold to go outside for walks like I'd like to but this weekend is supposed to be better! I'm ready to get out of the house a little and get some fresh air!

You are finally gaining weight! You have gained 3 ounces since we left the hospital and if our home scale is right 4 more since Monday! This makes me very happy! You are eating like a champ! You are a very hungry girl! I'm so proud of you! If I move the wrong way you make this grunting noise, like to you're saying, "Hey lady, I'm eating here!" and then sometimes you make humming sounds. So sweet! I'm so very pleased that breast feeding is working so well for the both of us. I'll be pumping soon so daddy can feed you too! Just want to make sure we've establish a good routine first.

You are amazing! You are perfect! You are so very loved! You are our daughter!

Love you so much,
Mommy
