Month 3 & 4 Year 3

Reme Lynn,

It has been a whirlwind of 60+ days! We have celebrated birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's day, dance recitals, classes and lessons, play dates, festivals, costume parades, "shows" and a visit from the Paci Fairy!!

Getting stronger and stronger with each gymnastics class! (4/23/16)

You have been "friends" with Bryn since you were 12 weeks old. You met at Una Baptist Daycare and grew up together until you were about 16 months old when Bryn when moved to DCA. Her momma and I stayed in touch so you two could spend time together and then you were officially reunited when we started going to DCA in early September of 2016.

 April 23rd, 2016

Happy birthday to Aunt Mindy (4/24/16)

Happy birthday to Granddad and Aunt Katrina (4/25/16)

You wear a princess dress to school almost every day! At least 3 days a week!

Princess Ariel (4/26/16)
Nice shoes kiddo!

Princess Tiana (5/2/16)

The Paci Fairy (5/6/16)
We have been gearing you up over the past few weeks that the Paci Fairy would grant a wish in exchange for your pacifiers so she could give them to new little babies that needed them. We started with 3 of them and you wished for the My Little Pony Little People castle. You put your pacifiers in a magic bag and left them on the front porch and then an hour or so later, there was knock at the door and she had fulfilled your wish!

From that moment on you wished for a Minnie Mouse Flippin' Kitchen. On the morning of Friday May 6th we put the last of the pacifiers in the magic bag and left it on the front porch. When we got home from school/work that evening, the bag was on the door empty but had a note. You were so upset because there wasn't a kitchen the the porch! We read the note and you still didn't quite understand, "where is the kitchen"?? We opened the door and there it was!! We played with the kitchen and soon it was time for bed. The first time in 3 years that you went to bed without your paci. I laid in bed with you and held you tight as you cried yourself to sleep saying, "paci", "paci", "paci" over and over. My heart hurt so much for you. You woke up the next morning and we never looked back! (for the most part)

Happy birthday Gmomma (5/7/16)

Sevier Park Festival (5/7/16)

You love to swing!

Las Paletas - Gourmet Popsicle

We walked back and forth on this wall about 20 times!

Played hide and seek on the playground

The Village (missing a few) - so blessed to have them a part of our world!

 AAANNNDDDD.....she's OUT!
(Death grip on the cheese crackers and you were not going to let them go!)

It was a long and hot day and we loved every second of it!

 Mother's Day (5/8/16)

You decided to get up at the crack of dawn Sunday morning. While I was tired, I was excited to spend the morning and day with you. We started off with homemade Micki Mousse pancakes, bacon, fresh fruit, milk (and coffee for me)!

Once daddy woke up, the two of you played while I worked in the garden. It's one of my favorite things to do and I really enjoyed it.

Then we went to have some girl time getting our toes done!

This was the first time you actually let the tech paint your toes

Matching toes...you were so proud and so was I!

Daddy made us reservations for dinner at Bistro 808 and we were all so excited to go. We got all dolled up, put on make up and you feel asleep when we were about 10 minutes away from the restaurant. It was only 5:30pm but remember we got up around 6am. You slept like this the whole time!

You slept all the way home and even stayed asleep once I put you to bed. It was a beautiful day and I couldn't be happier to be your mommy. Thank you for loving me so unconditionally.

THEN around 2am you woke up very sick. You were throwing up about every half hour for about 4 hours. It was heartbreaking. You didn't have much of a fever thank goodness. We stayed home together the next day and relaxed and snuggled a lot then around 2pm you started feeling much better and we played the rest of the afternoon! Nothing like caring for your sweet baby to make you feel like a real mom! It soothed my soul to be able to care for you.

 Family bonding (5/14/16)

A Village Belle costume as a reward for going 7 days without your pacifier! (5/15/16)

A play date at Avery's house (5/15/16)

The energy between the two of you is just amazing. You have your own language.

Last day of School Festival (5/16/16)

Bouncy Houses and Pizza

Pirates & Fairies Birthday Party (5/21/16)

Daddy took you to your classmate Sterling's birthday party while I was out of town with my friends. You looked so sweet and had a great time!

Best buds

Capturing the dreaded alligator

Walking the plank

You have such a wonderful relationship with your daddy.
He takes such good care of you and our family!

The Car Routine (5/25/16)

You insist on doing this "gymnastics" routine before getting into your car seat (EVERY TIME).
While it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to ever get going anywhere, it's well worth the wait!

A new bathing suit and a special moment in the bath tub! (5/25/16)

School's Out for Summer (5/27/16)

EVERY TIME

Happy Birthday Atticus (5/28/16)

We had so much fun building and playing

Oh the sweetness

Happy birthday Avery (5/29/16)

Inevitable someone takes off their bathing suite and then it becomes a nudist party!

Pure Joy

Your First Swim Lesson at the YMCA (5/30/16)

It started off great and you were having a ball but then as an instructor was holding you on your tummy in the water, you took a big gulp of water and you lost your trust in them. You were very hesitant after that point and due to rain and schedules we only went to one more lesson (out of 6). The second lesson one of the instructors convinced you to let her take you in the water and she took you aside and gave you some one on one attention. That seemed to work much better for you.

You were not a fan of the "life belt". It hurt your belly, you said

Our First Camping Trip (6/4/16)

We had a big camping trip planned with The Village but our campsite flooded and we decided not to go. BUT we made the best of a wet situation and camped in the living room! We had a blast!

Your First Dance Lesson (6/7/16)

Hermitage Dance Academy - Ballet, Tap and Tumbling
I was convinced that you weren't going to go into the studio without me but you proved me SO wrong. Once the instructor came out to get her students, she said "who's here to dance?" and you said,
"I AM - bye Momma"

Somehow along the way your glasses got scratched and you wouldn't wear them because they "hurt". Now we have new ones (blue ones too) but they are a new prescription and they still "hurt". It's a source of major concern for me because you won't wear them for any extended period of time and I'm worried about your eyes. We're not even close to a patch routing either. (Sigh)

Our Trip to Buffalo (6/10/16)

Our first stop was Salamanca! We explored Grandma's garden, sat with Grandpa in his big chair, visited with Bill & Karla, played with the giant doll house, played bridal dress up and loved every minute of it. It's always such a treat to spend time with our loved ones!

Then it was off to Buffalo. We went to the Collin's house first and decided we'd go to the zoo! Well, you understandably exhausted and just wanted to stay put. You cried the entire way there and all the way to the entrance but once we got there and Aubrey was excited, you suddenly got happy. We were watching the sea lion and said, "Momma, I'm happy now Momma"

Aubrey likes to dress up too and had lots of dresses for you to play with. She even let you keep this special Belle dress! You both like to get up very early!
 Looking good!

Ready for showtime!

The dance recital was so fun. I am so glad we made the trip to see Aubrey shine and so the two of you could be together.

You two could be sisters!

It's a long drive and we're getting better about having things to keep you occupied. You said about a million times, "I want my Aubrey" you say it whenever you're tired too!

A New Dance Outfit (6/14/16)

Happy Birthday Stella (6/17/16)

Her real birth date is June 13th and she turned 5 years old. Taking her to the pet store has been our tradition every year!

The Little Mermaid (6/18/16)

We took you to see a local production of the Little Mermaid and we all loved it!

Father's Day (6/19/16)

We let Daddy sleep in and make him his favorite chocolate chip cookies

I bribed you to wear the new blue glasses for about 20 minutes in exchange for a surprise which was some new Cinderella Little People

Daddy surprised you with some special handmade bridal dresses for your Barbies!
Both you and your father like to be home so that's what we did for his special day. We played, worked around the house and just relaxed!

Some things that you do & say -
Calling me "Momma" instead of "Mommy"
You add "just a little bit" to many sentences. "Just a little bit scared", "it's a little bit funny"
Word pronunciations "Muse-kick", "ex-kite-ed", "ad-dam" (Madam)
You always "want your Aubrey"
Racing to the stairs
Jump, jump, jumping
"Yes or No"
"Watch this"
"I do it"
Playing the Ariel movie - "You be Ursula, Momma and you be Eric, Daddy"
Playing wedding with the Little People
Watching toys on the "TD"
NOT wearing your glasses
Bedtime procrastination "my belly hurts", "rub my back", "I need cream on my bottom", "I need some water"
You don't like to get up early for school but often get up early on the weekend
Baths with Momma in the big tub
Sometimes when I ask you what your favorite part of the day was you say, "Nofing" and giggle
You like the taste of basil
Chasing "wighting bugs" (not fireflies)
You know your street name, state and sometimes the city

You are a very special little girl, Reme Lynn. I remind myself often that each phase of your life will past quickly and to embrace them all. The 10 minute car routine, the procrastination, the sweet snuggles, the pure joy of the little things, the sad goodbyes, the laughter, the tears, the screams, the kisses. Very special indeed.

I love you more than all the stars in the sky,
Momma
