Week 44 Year 1

Merry Christmas baby,

It has been full of splendor & joy! We are so incredibly blessed! We have wonderful friends, an amazing family and we have you!

The Miller Christmas Eve theme this year was "Granddaughters" and the whole night was about the two of you! We all had matching aprons and helped in the kitchen all day! We made Chex mix, finished cookies, iced a cake, made potatoes and flubber!! We didn't eat the flubber of course and you loved the process up to the point you had to get your hands dirty! Then we opened your Christmas Eve boxes, made ornaments, pranced around in your matching pjs, opened presenters, put food out for Santa and the reindeers, released lanterns in Uncle Chuck's memory, read some books and snuggled in for a good night's rest!

And sure enough Santa came and brought us lots of presents!! We must have been very good this year!

Your reaction to the gifts this year has been hilarious! You get so excited! You almost shake! If it's something Frozen you scream "oh Elsa, Anna"!!! You have loved all of your gifts and gravitate to them equally and in rotation! Almost! You saw the rocking horse first and his sounds delight you so! You want very badly to sit in the baby bed! That was your aunt Mindy's baby bed! It's a special heirloom that we will be sure to keep in the family! A real American Girl Bitty Baby! Homemade Frozen bedding for her too! An Elsa & Anna doll! A grocery cart and fabric groceries! A fun talking picnic basket! A retro record player music box! Lots of clothes and some books! A Frozen blanket! College money! Fuzzy kitty slippers! And you and I got matching Converse tennis shoes! We were so busy opening presents that I didn't take as many pictures as i would have liked but it was magical! There was so much stuff and so much going on! It was a little overwhelming at times but you would just sit back and watch until you were ready to go again!

The funny thing was that after we opened all of those gifts, all the two of you wanted to play with was a cardboard box! You two had a ball in that thing!!

The trip to New York was very smooth and before we left we had some Holiday fun! We decorated cookies with some girl friends!

And we made our (2nd) annual trip to Jellystone to see the lights and Santa! We took the Janiszewskis with us this time and it was so much fun!

You did not want to sit in Santa's lap so we made it a family thing!

I don't want the holidays to end but I am looking forward to the new year and you'll be two soon and we have so much in store for our future! Thanks for making it so bright!

You just bring us so much joy! It's indescribable!

We love you so much,

Week 43 Year 1

My little angel,

It has been crunch time at the office for me so your daddy has picked you up most days! I love the pictures he sends to tell me you've had a good day!

You like to snack on Cheerios on your way home apparently!

We took it easy over the weekend but were very productive! We played with some gifts (thank you Gmomma), did some shopping, took our family Christmas pictures, helped a friend paint the nursery for her son and went to see Christmas lights!! It was also much fun!

We also designed our Christmas card! You are fascinated and a little confused by it too!!

Christmas is only 5 sleeps away!! Woo hoo!!

Jingle Bells,
Momma

Week 42 Year 1

Reme Lynn,

It was a much needed mellow week! There was a bit of drama with one of your teachers at school and we all needed some laughs and rest! The good thing is that the drama is most likely over!! Ms. Vanessa has left Bambini and Ms. Eloa came back!

We went to a fun Christmas party at Street Theatre! Several other kids wee there and the bunch of you chilled out and watched a movie!

We played around the house Saturday morning in our PJs and did some more decorating for Christmas!

Then on Sunday we went to the football game against the NY Giants! It was pretty cold but we bundled up and made the best of it!! Auntie Cole goes to every game and it was great to be able to hang out with her during the game!

They sent you home from school on Tuesday for being fussy and having a runny nose, you were fine but we took advantage of the time and snuggled!

Wednedsay was a Daddy Daughter night!! You guys ate pizza and watched movies!! You love your time with him!

You are currently fascinated with those boots! I'm not gonna lie...I love that!

I love you baby boots!!

Week 41 Year 1

One Word...Trooper! Okay really 2 words...Super Trooper! No, seriously...we threw at you more than any well adjusted and well rested adult could handle and you rocked it sweet baby girl! Huge giant kudos! You had a melt down here and there but on a scale of 1 to 10 you get a 100! Thank you so much for handling this Thanksgiving so well! Any time we go to Texas, we can expect to be spread thin. We have on a minimum 5 houses to visit in 2 to 3 days. That's a lot of driving, a lot of new faces and well, a lot!

On Thanksgiving morning we flew to Love Field, rented a car and drove straight to Auntie M's! This is Gmomma's side of the family! Your cousins; Savannah, Cooper & Jackson were there and they LOVE to love on you! We had a wonderful visit full yummy food, a quick fashion show, quirky chickens, fun family and priceless moments!

Then we were off to Aunt Deen Deen's house! By the time we got there several main characters had already left but it was kind of nice for it to be quiet and intimate. We got some good quality time with them! They were so excited to see you! You even got some early Christmas presents!

And as if that weren't enough, we then went to Naw Naw and Grandad's house! It was such a whirlwind of a visit, I forgot to take pictures! THEN we drove to Aunt Christi's to spend the night! All of that in one day!

The next morning, we visited with the Tracy family for a while and then we went back to Grandad's for a while. You fell asleep on the way there so we let you rest. By the time you woke up, Gavin had fallen asleep and you guys didn't get to spend hardly anytime together! Next time though!

Then it was off to Great Grandad's house! You were a little shy at first but once you got comfortable you were being your normal silly selft! You, me and Uncle Mark played several rounds of "ring arond the rosies"! it was fun! After that we all met up for dinner! It was late but you hung in there like a champ!

You decided to get up super early the next morning...yay...but we had some really sweet moments just the two of us! We played "tick tock" in the basket and I watched you in awe exploring your surroundings!

Not too much after that we adventured off to Mimi's house for a quick visit before jumping into the car for a quick 4 hour drive that turned into the world's longest 6 hour drive! Holiday traffic is never fun and this was when you decided to have your meltdowns! It was great when we finally got there and could relax and play!

The next morning we had the rehearsal for the wedding followed by the real deal! I was so glad to see some children your age there that you were had fun playing with! You did such a great job in the wedding! You walked down the aisle like a pro!

I'm so proud of you baby! Just one short year ago you crawled for the first time! How is that possible!? How does time go by so quickly!?

I hope you are as happy as we are! You are beyond loved!
