Week 7 Year 2

Hey babe,

Back to Spring Break festivities....BUT before I forgot....your new "Reme-ism" lately is "Ok, s'coo"! It is my absolute favorite!! Your dad and I say it all the time so I know where you heard it and to hear you say it is awesome! It goes something like this - You: Water chair? Me: You want to play in the water? You: Yeah, ok, s'coo! Almost like the idea to play in the water wasn't yours! I love it! Also, when you see a picture of yourself you say, "That's you!" It's so hard to explain to you too! But we'll get there! Oh and one more thing...You pee-peed in the potty!!! For real! All by yourself! Just once but it was so exciting! You mentioned to me several times during the day that you needed to pee pee in the potty and I'd take you and you would have just gone so when we got home you mentioned it and sat on the potty and went!! This is great! You won't wear your glasses very often which is not great! One hurdle at a time I suppose!

Okay so...Day 4 of Spring Break 2015! We got up fairly early and headed to Gatlinburg! We walked the strip and stopped at Crockett's 1875 Breakfast Camp for some yummy breakfast and then we went to the aquarium! It was a very nice aquarium. Especially the penguin exhibit. You had a blast there. You mostly enjoyed anywhere you could crawl through a tunnel and there were a lot of opportunities for that!

Then we decided to take a drive through the Smoky Mountains! It was a beautiful day. Not too hot, not too cold, not to sunny...just right. It was also a perfect time for you to take a nap! We drove all the way up to Clingman's Dome, down to Cherokee, NC and back! You pretty much slept the entire time but you got in some good mountain views too!

Since you were nice and rested we decided to give mini-golf another chance. You were much more into it this time. You actually tried to play and hit the ball and you absolutely loved the course, it was Old MacDonald theme! We followed that up with some pizza & ice cream! It was a decadent day of food for us. We hardly ever eat like that!

There was an indoor pool at our hotel and we swam 2 of the 4 nights! You are getting brave in the water! Time for swim lessons! We were too busy playing to get a pic!

The next morning, we let daddy sleep in and headed out for some mommy-daughter time! We had some pancakes at Flap Jack's followed by a pedicure! Once daddy joined us we went and explored "The Island", rode more rides at "The Track" and then headed to the Titanic museum!

To be honest, I wasn't sure how you'd handle the museum but you did very good! Plus the museum had a special place for the kids to build the ship with Legos, try to steer the ship away from the iceberg and a place where you could experience the deck incline! We also got to touch an iceberg and feel how cold the water was on the night the ship sank! At the beginning we were given boarding passes of actual passengers and you were able to follow your story to see if you survived and WE DID!! It was really neat! I can't wait to take you back someday when you can really understand the story!

The next morning was Easter! Not sure how he knew where we were but the Easter bunny knocked on our door and left you an Easter basket! It had lots of treats, some fun Princess cups and shirts, a new bathing suit and a klip klop stable castle!!

You got a big kick out of feeding your dad some cookies!

Then it was off to the Knoxville Zoo!! They had several different animals than we have at our zoo and we got to feed a giraffe! It was so neat! You didn't want to feed him but wanted to watch us!

And as if that wasn't enough, we then drove back to Nashville and went to the Haverstick's Second Annual Egg Hunt! You were way more into playing than hunting eggs. It was so sweet to watch!

Phew! That was a lot! But you were also out of school on Monday so you go to spend the day with your dad! He took you too this cool toy store where you got to see some bunnies! I thought for sure you'd come home with one! (Secretly wishing you would too!) But alas no bunny!

The rest of the week we have been getting back to our routine! We did have a fun weekend with friends though. We had brunch with the ladies, did some shopping, went to a birthday party and had a picnic!

This sight took my breath away a bit. You just look so tall and grown up!

They put your hair up in a ponytail at school and you love wearing it that way! And it is as about as cute as it gets! Especially with the glasses but that will be a tough shot to get I know!

New favorite books: Tea Party Rules, Bunny Rabbit Show and Just One More. We read each no less than 3 times every night it seems like. Loving every second!

All my heart,
Momma
