Week 20 Year 2

The Post Outer Banks Blues Week

Well it's not that bad but it leaves all of us a little sad and exhausted! You took a 3 1/2 hour nap!

It was the 4th of July when we drove home and we decided to stop in Asheville, NC for a little firework festivities! We had never been to Asheville before so other than internet searches and the hotel clerks we didn't really know the best spot to go.
Loving the full length mirror in the hotel!

Yes...another family selfie!

We decided on what we thought would be a less traveled road and went to the docks at Lake Jullian! It was a seemingly awkward location because it was near some type of factory but the dock was nice and the ducks were friendly. There were tons of people there and lots of children!

We didn't know but it turns out we were front and center for the big show! It was pretty loud so we weren't sure if you were going to like it but you loved every light and sparkle!

We got up bright and early the next morning and headed home.

Nothing better than peanut butter straight from the jar!

What was supposed to take us less than 5 hours took up almost 7! There was a pretty bad wreck that kept traffic backed up for a while. Oh my goodness we were so happy to be home!

Then we hit the ground running! It was back to reality of work, school and routines!

You decided that all of your friends needed to join you on the ride to school!

PONY DAY! Oh my goodness you were one happy camper!

And don't forget about water day!

Then Friday night we had a Girl's Night Out! Just you and me! First we went to have some ice cream! You were pretty hilarious! They didn't have any "normal" flavors (no chocolate or plain ole vanilla) so I got us a "rainbow"! It was mango, lemon and raspberry. I thought you would love it but nope..you weren't having it.

So then I asked you if you wanted to pick a different flavor and you did. After refusing to taste most of them, you were offered a PURPLE "Lavender Wildberry" flavor and you had to have it. AND they put sprinkles on it! Happy girl! You proceeded to eat a bite maybe two and then "all done"! You crack me up!

After ice cream we went to see The Big Bad Musical at Street Theatre!  I was so proud of you! You sat through the entire show quietly and really seemed to enjoy it!

I am so glad you are enjoying the theater! That is a big deal to me! I love the theater and like to be in a play or two on an occasion! Maybe one soon!

I love you baby girl,
Momma
