Happy 3rd Birthday

My sweet Reme Lynn,

Today you turned three years old. In someways it's hard to believe that three years have gone by but in other ways it feels like more than three. It feels like we've been doing this for an eternity. I hold on to all of the precious times, memories, the good and the bad. You are kind. You are gentle and funny. You have a very short attention span. You are a home body and prefer to stay home playing with your daddy and I most days. You love to play "chase me" and hide and seek and you often hide under the covers on the bed. You watch way too much "box/surprise video" stuff on You Tube. Which we understand is completely our fault. You call it, "watch toys on the td"! You love all Princesses. you love little surprise "blind bags". Shopkins, Palace Pets, Puppy/Kitty in my Pocket, Hello Kitty, Littlest Pest Shop, Ugliest Pet Shop, Care Bears, Doc McStuffins and My Little Pony. You like to play with "surprise eggs" and Little People and recently dressing up in princess dresses. You aren't a fan of me brushing your hair but most days you tolerate it. You get this terrible knot in the same place on the back of your head everyday. You drink a ton of water but you won't drink anything sweet really. Not even chocolate milk. You request marshmallows for breakfast most days and some days we give into you. You love to snuggle with your "soft princesses" and your big kitty and big puppy. You are still super sensitive and are highly affected by loud noises, lights and sudden changes in your environment. If you are told "no" or asked not to do something or corrected you take it very hard. Most of the times you recover quickly but there are times that this melt down lasts for a while. Your teachers tell us they think you are very smart and we agree. You do have a tendency to be a follower still and often look to your friends or others around and mirror their actions. I hope this stops sooner than later. You are patient. You are so good when your daddy and have to to pack or get work done around the house or when we are out running errands. It's quite exceptional really. You can also be very demanding and throw a royal meltdown. You still use your pacifier at night and in the car in the morning but we have a plan to change that very soon. It's a hard habit to break. You love fiercely. You love all animals big and small. You hug tightly. You love giving me sweet kisses. We have kiss fests all the time.

You brighten our world. You are our reason for trying to be the best people that we can be.

These are a few items that you claimed were your favorite last night in the bath tub -
Color - Pink
Toy - Bath Toys
Princess - Tiana
Holiday - Easter
Friend - Mollie
Food - Cracker
Shoes - Black Sparkle Shoes
Dress - Cinderella & Ariel
Movie -. A Bug's Life
Song - Beauty & the Beast
Animal - Cow
Some of those answers I believe...others not so much. For example, I think your favorite princess is Ariel with Belle as a close second. You will eat PB&J sandwiches, chicken nuggets, turkey bacon, macaroni and cheese, plain spaghetti, cheese by the block, waffles with chocolate chips, hummus and carrots, apples, bananas, strawberries and your weight in yogurt and just about any type of cracker, pretzel, popcorn item.
You change all the time though. You have a strong vocabulary and like most toddlers switch syllables and letters in your pronunciations. Like "muscic" is music. You can't quite pronounce your Rs or Ls yet so when people ask you what your name is you say "Wayme Winn". You throw out these random phrases and sayings that blow our minds like, "Oh man" and "Get off my back" or "That's not stinky, it smells pretty good" "not today" or my personal favorite, "mommy don't talk". I swear some mornings you look like you grew overnight.

You don't do exceptionally well in large crowds which is why we threw you three birthday parties. 3 small parties of 8 kiddos. It was a bit overkill in retrospect but I had good intentions. The first was our "mom's group" friends at the Cinderella play, the second was with your school friends at the Aquarium (Turning 3 under the Sea) and then our village at home for the Shopkins, Princess, Palace Pets, Little Pony, Puppy in my Pocket Pizza party! Each party was wonderful in their own way. You said that your favorite was our party at home which again is no surprise. It's your comfort zone.

We decided to do an advent type lead up to the big day. Three surprises for the last three nights as a 2 year old. Each night you received a new "soft princess"

We were so excited to pick Gmomma up from the airport after school on Friday. Once we got home she was like Mary Poppins pulling presents out of her bag! I don't know how she fit them all in there! It was a Ariel, princess, blind bag, clothes extravaganza!

February 20th 2016 was filled with giggles, belly laughs, pizza, sweets, friends, presents, princesses and cheer! We are so very blessed baby girl. Lots of people truly love us!

The day started early with new princess dresses and a yummy breakfast

Party #2 - Turning 3 Under the Sea! It was attended by mainly your school friends. Brynn & Peyton who you've known since Una Daycare when you were 3 months old and now attend DCA together. Sterling a new friend from your DCA class. Avery, Hazel & Kaeyln that you got to know and love at Bambini and Hazel H who you almost share a birthday with and we've been friends with since then. Her mommy and I know each other through theater. You chose to wear your Belle dress and tiara. Some friends were waiting for us in front when we arrived and they cheered when they saw you.

Once we all greeted and settled a bit, a big surprise was waiting for you around the corner. Your "favorite" mermaid princess Ariel! The second you saw her, you ran and jumped into her arms! You were so sweet and so excited to see her. All of the girls were. She read you all a story, did a magic trick, sang a song and then gave you fun princess tattoos!

Then it was party time. Lunch, ice cream sundaes, cake and presents. Such a magical and fun morning/afternoon!

Yes you really did eat your ice cream with Ariel from your cake!

Caught this special moment of you Skyping with Grandma and Grandpa in New York!
 Oh be still my heart!

Then it was off to get a little rest and prepare for our next party. Of course we had to start with more presents! This time from G&G Miller, Aunt Melissa and Mommy & Daddy.

Party #3 - Shopkins, Princess, Palace Pets, My Little Pony, Puppy in my Pocket Pizza Party! (Try saying that 3 times fast) These are our people! Our Village! The ones that are our family. You kids hit the ground running. There was dancing, playing, screeching and laughter, eating, games and presents! You have been deemed the best gift opener ever. You get so excited and shake and scream! It's hilarious and precious!

This was a serious game of "Rough House Cafe"!

 WOW

You may or may not have said, "I didn't want that" when you opened this gift!
We have since played it and had a blast! You love saying "Woozwe"

You literally shook with excitement over the Merida bowl/cup set!

Then it was ON...you guys just "let it go" literally! It was so much fun! I have not laughed and smiled from the inside like EVER! Blurry pictures is all that one can ever get from that kind of madness!

 No words...

After your bath you were super schmoopy and attacked me with a kiss fest. My heart has never been more full!

Okay...one last surprise! A PlayDoh surprise mini cake!

I will have to work on my "baking" skills!

You immediately passed out once in bed. I sat and watched you sleep for a long time. How did I ever get so lucky? You are my heart, my soul, my love.Thank you for being so perfect for us.

Happiest of birthdays my precious 3 year old!

I love you so very much,
Mommy
