Reme Lynn,
Today is Averie's 5th birthday! Happy Birthday Averie Grace! We were able to spend some time with her on Saturday at the neatest place called Lucky Ladd's Farm. It's really fun. It has a petting zoo, trains, ponies, slides, swings, a corn maze and all kinds of activities. Unfortunately you and I both weren't feeling 100% and it was a little on the chilly side so we didn't stay too long. You are definitely my daughter because it is clear that you do not like to be cold! Me either! We will for sure go back there when it's warmer!
The rest of the weekend, we just took it easy. We had brunch with the Lovely Ladies, did some shopping, did some snuggling, did some napping! It was nice!
It's officially fall outside and I'm constantly pointing out all of the beautiful colors to you. The trees are just gorgeous! Fall is a wonderful time of the year. Especially Halloween! I can't wait to get you dressed up and go Trick or Treating tomorrow! Even though I know you won't totally understand what's going on and of course you can't eat any of the candy but it's just too fun not to let you experience it!
We carved your first pumpkin this weekend and it was a blast! You were more excited about sitting on the plastic than the actual pumpkin but plastic is fun too! It makes a great noise huh? Another trait that I think you have gotten from me is that you're not a big fan of getting your hands dirty! You weren't really interested in playing with any of the guts of the pumpkin but you sat there with me and smiled and played with Stella and patiently waited for us to finish!
Happy Halloween my Little Pumpkin!
I love you,
Mummy

35 Weeks
Reme Lynn,
I'm not quite sure where this week has gone! The majority of it was in the car. We drove to Salamanca and back in 3 1/2 days. You were amazing the entire trip! You were delightful even. You slept most of the time and then you played, read (well I read to you) and ate the rest of the time. It was a very nice celebration of Uncle Chuck's life. You were also able to meet all of your second cousins from the Winship side! You had fun playing with Aubrey too!
On Sunday we even managed to make it to the football stadium in time to see the Titans play on Sunday afternoon! This time you slept through the second half of the game and almost the entire time we walked to the car afterwards!
You had your heart checked out on Monday. The hole is still very small and the doctor is not worried at all. We don't have to go back for another year! Praise the Lord! While we were there though I could tell that you weren't feeling very well. Totally unrelated to your heart murmur. You had a runny nose and a little bit of a cough and by the time I took you to school you were running a slight fever. So we took you to see your pediatrician on Tuesday and you have a double ear infection! No fun! This is the first time you've ever really been "sick". You had that really high fever a while back but you were always your normal jolly self. This time not so much. You seem much better today though.
It's starting to turn very cold and it's my least favorite time of the year. It just doesn't seem like we had much of a summer. My goal for us this winter is to discover some fun indoor things to do. Crafts, games, cooking and having fun! I'm new at the whole crafty mom type stuff so bear with me but I promise to do my very best! It's holidays season too so we'll have lots of things to do and see as well!

You are working on new "words" and sounds lately including MAMA!!! Or it could me ma-ma-ma-ma but I'm pretty sure you're speaking about me! You had your first experience with Cheerios and you loved them! We have also added blueberries to your menu! You enjoy eating them but I'm not so crazy about the mess. it stains everything!
I hope you start feeling better soon my sweet!
Love,
Mommy

34 Weeks
Hello my sweet pumpkin,
It has been a week of high highs and low lows my love. Remember how I was telling you about how life is one big crazy roller coaster ride? I'll start with the highs! First of all, you have the best expressions! You also have the most hilarious reactions to things. You do this grunt when you see me for the first time in a while or when you are trying to get someones attention. I don't know how to describe it to be able to remember it well but it's kind of like you're grunting,"Um excuse me...hello" It's absolutely adorable! Friday night we went out for some sushi and you were so good! You just chilled out and ate some mango and banana and watched the sushi train go by! Thank you for that!
Then Saturday we did our annual trip to Oktoberfest! It has been a year now since we've known that you were a girl! You wore your Aunt Mindy's dress from when she was a little girl and you were a hit!! People would stop and take pictures of you and with you! You also had your first pony ride and you loved it!
Sunday you were not feeling well at all. You were running a fever and just wanted to snuggle and rest and that is exactly what we did! You seemed very sensitive to sounds and I was (am) a little worried you may have an ear infection but other than favoring the back of your head a little you seem fine. You woke up Monday morning with no fever and all smiles!
We got some very sad news Monday morning though. Your Great Uncle Chuck Winship (Mimi's brother) passed away on Sunday night. It is so tragic. He had been battling cancer for quite some time and gave it one heck of a fight too! Cancer sucks! I'm not really sure how to approach and explain the subject of death right now. The words aren't really coming to me. All I can really say is that it's a part of life. We are only here on this earth for an unknown period of time and then we're gone. That's way it is so important to make the most of every day you're/we're here. As sad as death is we have to accept it. We have to grieve and then grow and never forgot the value and impact they had on our lives. Chuck was a wonderful man. He had a beautiful maple farm in Springwater, NY. He loved you so much. He was able to be with you at your christening in May. What a very special time and we're so glad that he shared that with us. He had a deep soothing voice and a great sense of humor. I remember so fondly a time that he drove us around the farm in his truck and explained the process of making syrup and all of the stories of the sugar shack! We also had a very special moment walking around Allegheny Park last Christmas. We talked about the many times they visited and vacationed there and how the park had grown and the lay of the land! It was just magical really. You were in my belly at the time too so you were actually there for that!
The ride is a crazy one my child but worth every second!
I love you,
Momma

33 Weeks
Reme...baby,
Phew! Another busy week but full of fun! It started with your Gmomma coming to town to visit us! You two were able to spend some good quality time together. You stayed home from school on both Thursday and Friday. She said that by Friday you had her good and trained! She brought you a bunch of goodies! Outfits, a new Sophie, a Sophie book, and a Sleepy Elmo! She's so good to us! I'm glad that you were able to bond and get to know each other better!
Your reaction when you see me after a few hours or while you're at school is new and different all of the time. The other day you took one look at me and screamed really loud like I scared you and then started to cry. You do that a lot, cry when you see me and you sometimes do this grunt cry thing and wiggle your little legs until I come pick you up and then there are times that I pick you up from school and you'll take one look at me and not flinch and continue to do whatever it was that you were doing. Like, "oh hey...it's you...what's up". No matter how you react it is by far one of the best parts of my day!
You slept through the night for about a week and now you're up every few hours again. We think it's because you are teething something fierce! You have two teeth now! They are too cute!
You have added mango and pineapple to your list of foods! You're crazy about the mango and a little cautious about the pineapple. You've also tried carrots which you like if they are warm. You don't like anything cold really. I want to find a good teething biscuit for you soon! I think you'll really like that!
We got some much needed time with the girls and the babies tonight! It was so nice to sit around and talk and just look at their comforting, sweet and beautiful faces! Our gang is getting bigger all the time!
You have bumped your head about a million times lately! You'll be sitting and then lean far over your ankles and try to get on your belly but you don't catch yourself! We've been doing our best encouraging you to crawl but you still don't seem all that into just yet! We're being patient though especially since we have done zero to safety proof the house! "Crawling is a must" - Aunt Mindy (and she knows her stuff!)
I love our adventures and I so love being your mommy!!!
Sweet dreams,
Momma

On Saturday we met Jaime & Mollie at the Hermitage Fall Festival! We had a great time! We walked around, did some shopping, watched a sweet play that some dear friends of ours performed, checked out some pumpkins and played with some musical instruments.
Then we took Stella to the dog park and walked around Centennial Park! Your new favorite thing to do is to sit in the grass and play with the leaves (you try hard to eat them too). I watch you develop these interest and explore your surroundings and I can't help but to fantasize about what you'll want to be when you grown up! A Master Gardener like your Mimi because you love to play in the dirt? A swimmer because you love the water? A singer because you love to hum, screech and test the volume of your voice? Yes it's way too early to tell but it's irresistible to daydream about!
You have all kinds of news things that you're doing. You have become obsessed with your tongue! It's out all of the time. Totally cracks your daddy and I up!

Reme Lynn,
First of all, Happy Sixth Birthday to Cousin Aubrey! We hope she has had a great day and we'll get to talk to her tomorrow!
We have been busy busy busy this week and we have enjoyed every second of it! The weekend started off with a little bit of a scare though. Our silly doggie got a little too rambunctious while we were playing outside and somehow knocked a little dent in your forehead! She was just excited and doesn't really know how to control her body. Boy oh boy did it scare us. All of us! You are fine though and shook it off quickly. Much quicker than your daddy and me!
Saturday was "festival" day! We started off with the St. Luke's Fall Festival followed by the Food Truck Festival! Fun festival fun! You were so "go with the flow" all day. Although we did a lot, it was actually quite relaxing!
On Sunday you had me on Cloud Nine! We took you to the Titans football game and you were a HUGE hit! Everyone and I mean everyone "oo'd" and "aww'd" about what a super cute baby you are! We even got to go onto the field before the game started! Both you daddy and I though for sure you'd never make it through the entire game. It was somewhat of a dreary rainy day and of course a loud environment. Well we couldn't have been more wrong! You loved it! Once we got to our seats and go you fed, you passed right out. You slept through the entire first half. Fireworks were going off, fans were screaming, it was raining, the music was blaring but you didn't flinch! What?!? You woke up about mid way through half time and we hung out and played the rest of the game! You ate a little bit more and just took in all of the sights and sounds! We were all worn out when it was all over!
That new tooth is coming in with a vengeance! You accidentally nicked your daddy's finger! You also got your second flu shot this week so now we're done with shots for a while, thank goodness! Your Gmomma is in town for a couple of days!! Yay!
Well I can't even begin to explain how incredibly proud I am to be your momma! Your smile can light up a stadium baby! It's infectious! Best one toothed smile ever!
Love,
Mommy
