Week 10 Year 1

Réme Lynn,

This week has been full of ups and downs. We've talked about this before, about how life is made up challenges, excitement, disappointment, peace, sadness, happiness and so much more! There is a constant ebb & flow! 

Our sweet Aundmaw passed away today. She was such a special soul. She loved you so very much. She was so sweet and kind and caring and giving and gentle. We are going to miss her her so much! She had an unwavering faith in God and I can feel her smiling right now.

The rest of the week has been very mellow. We had a beautiful day on Saturday just the two of us! We went shopping and played at the park and worked in the yard and had a great time. 

We also went to Ian and his play. He was Capt. Hook in Peter Pan! He did such a great job! However you did not like his costume! 

Sunday we just chilled out at the house & did a little housework and enjoyed the lovely weather!

Life is so precious Réme! It is something to be cherished and never taken for granted! Everyday is important! Every moment to be remembered! Especially the small ones!

I love when you put your head on my shoulder when you're being shy

I love when we snuggle on the couch while you sip your milk

I love when you sleep in and I have to wake you up, it's such a sweet special moment

I love how you always pick out the yellow items

I love how excited you get when it is time to play with the scarves in music class

Week 9 Year 1

Another week full of fun on the books! We celebrated Easter all weekend long! Starting on Good Friday when we went to Lucky Ladd's farm with your schoolmate Bryn! 

There was an egg hunt, baby animals, big animals and pony rides! 

But your favorite part was the corn!! They have this big box full of corn kernels and toys to play with! You could have stayed there all day!

Saturday we had a full day! Kindermusik followed by brunch then we went to a friend's house for the "official" egg hunt! They had a bouncy house too! It was so much fun!! 

Afterwards we went out to eat and we were all in a great mood! At one point you and I had a giggle fest! I would laugh and then you would laugh and I would laugh and we'd both laugh! I never want to forget that moment! You had your first fortune cookie too! I was impressed how quickly you figured it out! 

Sunday was truly blessed! It is so amazing to think about the story of Easter and how our lives are changed from it! When you get older we will explore these stories with you! 

The Easter bunny paid you a visit and you were so excited!! 

We all went to a nice lunch at Cantina Laredo and it was really yummy!! Yes we went out up eat three times this weekend! 

Easter shaped pasta for dinner!

We had our last Tuesday night Kindermusik class for this semester! We really did enjoy them! I look forward to more in the fall!

Week 8 Year 1

Réme Lynn, 

Hello my sweet bunny! Oh how I love you! You've been feeling better this week but have had a rough time at school. For some reason you just don't want to be there. You may not feel well, you may be missing us or a combo of them both but drop offs have been traumatic! I wish you could tell me what you are feeling! 

We have had a fun week when we are together though!

Week 7 Year 1

Oh baby girl-I don't even know where to start!! 

First of all you're sick right now! You. Started to get a cough on Sunday with a bit of a runny nose which wasn't so bad until you just stopped being yourself last night. Then it got scary for us! You didn't have an appetite (very unlike you), you were crabby, you didn't take a nap at school and you didn't love going to the grocery store! Then the school called me today and said that you just seemed off. I agreed and took you to the doctor and sure enough you have an ear infection! You might have something viral too and it could also be allergies! Hang in there baby! We'll get past this soon! Although you don't want to take medicine and you're too smart to let me sneak it in your milk too!! Very clever you are!! 

We had an amazing weekend! Your daddy had the great idea to go to the Chattanooga Aquarium! It's only a quick two hour drive so off we went! So much fun!! We'll for sure do that again! Maybe see the zoo next time too!!

 

We started a new Kindermusik class on Saturdays with Mollie. Hazel and many others! You of course do your own thing and I love watching you explore and challenge boundaries! 

You had your first official tantrum in Target! I know you're not feeling well so I totally understood but it gave me an insight on what the future holds for times like that! It was actually pretty funny! 

You started to blow kisses and they are the best! 

You are the best!!

Week 6 Year 1

Réme Lynn,

We had a fun play date with our friends Lindsey & Hazel this weekend! You gals are just too cute! You don't really play together as much as watch each other but I assume that will change someday! You're only 3 days apart!

Even though daddy had to work overtime all week and on Saturday he was so excited to come home and immediately wanted to take us out & do something fun! Such a great daddy!! We went to McKay's bookstore! It's a huge warehouse full of used books, movies & games! None of us had been before so we had no idea what to expect. So we're in the children's section and I'm showing you books and you and your daddy are looking at DVDs. He finds one called Animal Clinic, it has a lovely cover with all kinda of animals and you are hooked! You won't put it down! Even when we go to leave you just have to have this old probably cheesy movie from the 80s! It was only $5 so we get it for you and tease you on the way home how we're for sure going to watch it! Turns out there was NO DVD in the case!! We laughed so hard at this!! You are enjoying looking at the cover though! 

You have always been somewhat of a clean eater. You're not a big fan of your hands being duty but this week you have discovered the joy of spitting out your food! We try not to laugh but honestly it's hilarious!! I hope it's just a phase!

We went back Monkey Joe's and this time we went with Alli, Tanner & Audrey! It was sort of late in the day and we were the only ones there!! It was like we owned the place! Too much fun! We slide down every slide and jumped in every house! 

You've been favoring your ear lately & since you had to go back for your iron test I had them check your ears and you had a huge ball of wax in one! No wonder it was bothering you! 

 

The days have been just beautiful and we took Stella to the dog park on Sunday! You got lots a doggie kisses from all kinds of puppies! 

It was great fun and we ran into our friends Mikaela, Becca & Gabriella too! 

You've been very cuddly lately! I hope that phase lasts!!

Week 5 Year 1

Oh my little mobile chickadee, 

You have hit the ground walking! It all officially started on Tuesday during Kindermusik, you were really stretching you legs! I was so proud of you and how brave and strong you were being! Then yesterday after school I stood you up by the ottoman and turned around to make you so milk and when I turned back around you were gone! Then all of a sudden you appeared from behind the couch just walking like it was no big deal. You've been doing it all your life! You haven't stopped yet! That's not to say you don't still crawl but you clearly have crossed a threshold. Go baby go! 

We had another fun filled weekend! Mollie's official birthday party where you played hard at the park for 3 solid hours! We all had a great time! You now love to slide all by yourself and even came diving down head first once! But let's not forget the magic of the wood chips! 

You even got your face painted! 

Sunday was Fam-Fun day but first we did some quick cleaning! You even pitched in to help! Many hands make light work. 

Then we went to this cool jumpy house place called Monkey Joe's! It took you a while to warm up but once you did you had a ball! You were fearless! 

You did your first modeling job this week for CASA! You're going to be the Red Shoe Party poster child. You were a mighty fine model and did such a great job! They were impressed! 

You are officially a sippy cup only gal now too! You have transitioned seamlessly! Way to go baby!!
