27 Weeks

Dear Reme Lynn,

This is the first letter I have written to you since you were born that you weren't lying right next to me! You have officially made the move to your room. So far it has been a smooth transition. Each night gets better and more comfortable for us all. I'm impressed my sweet. You're doing a great job!

It's always a little difficult to get back to reality after a vacation.

We had such a wonderful time!

 We really did!

We finished out the beach trip with several excursions to various places. We adventured to Frisco, NC where we explored the USS Monitor Museum. You really love that type of stuff. You hang out in your Bjorn and just take it all in! You didn't make a peep. You seemed to enjoy it. Then we went to the island toy & candy store and your daddy and I got our annual crab fix! Mmmm! I can't wait for you to try crab! I hope you love it as much as we do!

We also took a ferry ride WITH THE CAR to Ocracoke Island for to explore, shop & have some lunch! What a cool trip. You slept on the way there but woke up just at the last minute on the way home so you could check out our special boat ride! Ocracoke is so neat! A very quaint little island. You got to try some homemade ice cream and you loved it!!

It was very hard to say goodbye! It went by way too fast! You loved to play in the sand, chilled out in the pool, played with your cousins, had some good quality time with your aunts, uncles, grandma & grandpa, giggled (while playing peek a boo), tested the volume of your voice in a big room with echos, spent a lot of time on your tummy just moments away from crawling, took your first shower (with me), tasted avocado, apples, peas, homemade vanilla ice cream and a teeny tiny bit of chocolate frosting!

On the way home we stopped at the Greensboro Science Center! It is a museum, aquarium and zoo all rolled into one! What a creative way to take a break from the road and of course right up your alley! We saw a giant tiger, anteaters, farm animals, sharks, penguins, meerkats (your fav), a two headed yellow bellied turtle and so much more! Afterwards we were in the gift shop and got you on this fantastic giggle roll playing with a stuffed meerkat! It was hilarious!! Of course we had to get it (and maybe a penguin too)!

I so look forward to many more traveling adventures with our sweet family of three! We are becoming quite the pros! You do so well my love! You take it like a champ! It's not often that a six month old baby can hang the various situations that we've been through with such ease and grace!

I love you baby girl,
Mommy
